Wheel bearing going out - Time for a partial Big Break kit upgrade?

I just had my wheels balanced and rotated for the first time since I bought the car. The front passenger wheel bearing is a bit loose and will need to be replaced. I have looked through the procedure, and have a question. I would like to do the Big Brake upgrade at some point down the road. Should I get the new (older model 928) spindles now and pop it in while I am replacing the wheel bearing? Does that make sense? I can't afford the full price of the whole kit right now, but am wondering if this would be a good thing to do and shorten the steps when I do buy and install the kit. Can the existing brake/wheel hardware work just fine with the older spindle? Is it a no-go for mixing and matching? I would love your input.

Thanks

(I love driving this car even with no A/C!!)

I don't think you should mix spindles they are made to work in conjunction with the updated control arms. Also I believe the old brake mount in different locations and direction than the big one so you wouldn't be able to put old brakes on newer spindles.
I'm pretty sure that someone makes a bracket to fit the big brakes on the old suspension with out changing all of the stuff over.

30 minutes to tighten a loose wheel bearing, days off/on to do that brake conversion. Two separate animals.

Probably needs adjustment not replacement.

Ok, do you guys have a link to that procedure? I guess I've never seen that before. Every other vehicle I've ever worked on that had a loose bearing (grab top and bottom on the wheel and rock it) has needed a replacement. I read the procedure for replacing it over on Rennlist. If there is a 30 minute fix, please let me know! That sounds much better. Also if you can direct me to the bracket for the big brake kit, that would be grand. I had been looking at the kit on the 928 specialists web site that states:
"Our 928SP Big Brake Upgrade system is a true bolt on kit which doesn't require the costly and hard to find complete S4 suspension swap! Milled from 6061-T6 aluminum, our Adapters bolt on to the existing caliper location of 78-81 928s (for 82-86*US and 80-85 Euro S you must replace your front spindles with the 78-81 style spindle)"

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Well I just found this. It has an adjustment/check before replacement.

Replacing the Front Wheel Bearings

I guess I'll try that first. Thanks guys.

remover wheel, pop the dust cap, loosen the allen screw on the clamp, rotate clockwise until tight, tighten screw replace dust cap.

If I've bothered to mess with the wheel bearing I usually clean and repack them with grease.

Ok, wheel bearing tightened. No more rocking once the wheel was back installed. I did find my upper a arm ball joint is falling apart. Has anyone tried the 928 Motorsports ballpoint rebuild kit ($150)?

Yes, 6 or 7 years ago the kit had wrong boot.
Carl says the kit has proper boot now.
Joint worked fine, requires re-use of the metal ball part I think.
