I find it strange that I only had 3 op codes when looked up on another thread.

Is this normal?

Not normal at all, you should be very worried.

Typically dealers order cars to suit their market, some loaded, some stripped, some with a specific combination that may have factory incentives or fit some ad campaign.

**********************

9288200784 and 9289101979 both come up as unknown for me in pet7.

The only major options that I don't have is rear AC and heated seats.
I know there are lots of versions of options, but I got the good stuff like a 5L engine, sun roof, 2 doors, and a tinted windsheild. Ha Ha

The database PET7 talks to doesn't have any 77-79 cars in it. Can only look up model years from '80 onwards.

Your VIN above shows:

158 Radio "Monterey" - 86 "Reno" - 87
302 Type designated on rear end
418 Protective side mouldings
570 High output air conditioner
650 Sunroof

Country Code C02 - "Rest of USA" (i.e. not California, which is C03 for pre-91 cars)

Yes..

My '89 manual shows:

058 Bumpers with impact absorbers
302 Type designated on rear end
513 Lumbar support - right seat

Despite the lack of option codes, my '89 manual has full leather (all interior panels including headliner, dash, door uppers, hatch trim, rear quarter panels, etc.), and also red piping on the seats.

PET7 doesn't show any options packages - identified by 5-digit codes on the sticker in the rear hatch (and often in the service book too).

Some of the 5-digit option codes are known, but only very few.. although one of the UK guys got explanations from Porsche for 5-digit interior-related codes on his GTS recently, so Porsche have more extensive databases than the one PET uses.

Interesting option list:

1982
C02 (USA)

126 Stickers in French
220 Locking differential
249 Automatic transmission
418 Protective side mouldings
438 Comfort seat right
455 Wheel locks
471 Integrated rear spoiler
471 Sport group 1
484 Symbols for controls
494 2 speakers on back shelf

Thanks for the info! Not trying to high-jack the thread or anything, but I read some where that "Competition Package" cars come with LSD and "slightly stiffer suspension". Does my car have to have the LSD code and the suspension code to have them, or is that part of the "Package"?
