Green distributor wire replacment
I'm replacing the green wire to the distributor. Looking at the common issues photos. They take a ribbed plastic part off the plug that goes in the distributor. Next photo the ribbed part is in the distributor. Next photo the plug is in, and the ribbed part is gone. Did it get pushed under the plate of the distributor? or taken out?

if the ribbed part your talking about is black and loose fitting on the end that plugs into the distributor,
Then this black plastic shim is cut off the plug, then the plug is inserted into the distributor
