Racing Dynamic Performance Chips For Sale
I recently bought a 911 and got a few extra parts along with it. Included were two chips from Racing Dynamics for a 928 that a PO had. I looked them up at the Racing Dynamics web site and found the following:
Performance EPROM,Porsche 928 s 85-86;32 valve motor;includes 2 chips - See more at: http://www.racdyn-usa.com/product/200+90+10+209. They sell new as a pair for $495. I am selling mine for $250/pair including USPS postage to anywhere in the Continental US. I will accept payment via Pay Pal. I will also give a 7 day money back guarantee should the buyer discover that something is wrong with them. Buyer will have to pay return postage. As I mentioned above, I got these with the purchase of another car, so I make no claim as to condition. Please contact me at vwfern1@verizon.net if you're interested in them. Porken also makes chips for the 85/86 his cost is 199.99

Sorry to be negative with a new poster, but pretty much all of the "hot" chips for the 85/86 from the old days are poor and usually copies of chips by one company, auto authority I think. They richen the fuel mixture under some condition and advance the timing, both of which can cause issues.
Porken disassembed the factory code and made partial rewrites so not just table values are changed, but also how the brains work. Consensus seems to be that his chips are a good improvement over the old chips. Old chips are common on ebay and sell cheap, if you want to go that route. First check your brains, these chips were very very common back in the day, and many buy a set and open the brain only to find they were replaced by a previous owner. |
