928 Spare Tire
I need a spare tire for a 84 928. It appears the original spare part number is 928-361-013-03 but what I would like to know is whether there are other spare tires that will fit on this vehicle? Will a spare from a 911, 944 or Boxster fit this car? I would appreciate any assistance with this question.

AFAIK there are no good spares, none after 20+ years can be trusted to be inflated and driven on any distance, many fail on inflation, some survive a test inflation, then fail on the next needed inflation. Vredestein still makes the Space Master, but I don't see any in a 15 or 16 rim, smallest is 17, which might work on the car, but wouldn't fit in the spare well.
Buy good tires, have AAA, get a good plug kit and compressor. |
