using lc2 for o2 sensor and wideband.
Hello all! I have a 87 928s4. I bought a lc2 kit to install on my car. I want to piggyback the wires of the original o2 into the new wideband o2 sensor so i can use it as both.
I have a black, white and white. Anyone have any ideas? The original sensor was 27 years old so it completely broke coming out. Thanks!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1418623818.jpg |
I would just run both separately. Any good muffler shop can weld in a new bung for you.

The reason i am running the one as a wideband/narrowband is because i supercharged my 928

I have an Innovate MTX-L Air/Fuel gauge. It has a narrow band simulated output on the yellow wire. This worked acceptably for me in my stock configuration. However, using two bungs with the two separate oxygen sensors is working better for me.
The Innovate web site description of your LC-2 states that your device has a similar output. I would think that this would work better than trying to use the output from one oxygen sensor as input to two different devices. |

On a 3-wire oxygen sensor, the black wire is the sensor signal wire (to the ECU).
The two white wires are for the heater element. Polarity doesn't matter on the white wires. If I understand your question correctly though, I wouldn't tie the stock O2 harness into the new wide band sensor. Chances are you will damage something. Use the simulated narrow band output to feed the ECU, or run them separately as MPDano and qdac suggest. If you use the LC-2 simulated output, connect it to the black wire on the stock harness, and tape off the two white wires so they do not short to themselves or anything else. The LC-2 controls the wide band sensor's heater circuit itself. If you run the two sensors separately, install the 2nd bung near the stock location where the sensor won't hit the body or anything else.
