Selling a 928

I folks! I have been a Pelican Forum reader for 2 years and this is my 1st post! (My 1st post to any forum...ever!)

I have a 1982 928 5 speed that is super nice in and out that needs a new home. My question is: I think this car needs to be seen by a national audience when put up for sale. What sales sites do you look at, use, trust and recommend for selling a Porsche 928? Ever used Ebay, thoughts? Good or Bad?

Just another note, I did sell my Detomaso Pantera through Hemmings years ago, before the internet and I got top $$ at that time. Wish I would have kept it now, darn!

I sold a couple cars years ago on eBay back when it really growing. I think people have soured on it and have move to craigslist. Fees have gotten high and cars are really something that should be bought in person. While Craigslist is not nationwide, people use sites like search tempest to cast a wide net. I have sold many cars on craigslist all within 2 weeks. Since I consider it a hobby I price a bit lower to draw interest. I hold pretty firm on the price. Your car looks very clean, good luck with sale.

If it is really super nice, able to hold up to the scrutiny of jaded owners, then put it here on Pelican and also on Rennlist (requires membership). If you have a time table, put it on ebay.

You could also list it on AutoTrader which is nationwide. I've never bought or sold on there but check it frequently to see what's out there.
