GTS serial number check
 

Guys,

I am not in tune with the 928, you know with the engine being on the wrong end etc.... but a friend of mine is looking into a GTS.

I am surprised at the number of GTS I come across. I am sure they where not that numerous.

Is there any place outside of porsche ofcourse that I can run a quick serial number check.

Serial number not so much, they don't "match" as in some other vintage cars.

Check the VIN which is stamped into the right side top of frame where the fender bolts are as well as door jamb. There are threads here and on rennlist to decode options from vin.

Check the Motor ID, which is stamped into a flat spot at the top in front, look straight down from above the radiator input hose.
