What special tools and other equipment do you recommend I have on hand? Any other suggestions as to how I should proceed?

Start a thread of your own, this is buried, few will see it.

Why was it put in storage?

What was done to prepare it for storage?

Always good to make contact with other local owners.

Well, the new fan kit from FF Dynamics is installed, and I'm not that happy with it. First off the fan motor made an awful racket. They did send me a replacement fairly fast. I went to get it all mounted today with this aluminum shroud, and the upper plastic shroud will not fit right with it. I'm going to have to do some trimming I guess. I was hoping it would just all go together for an "extreme fan kit" for $325. I expected better. As soon as I get the shroud figured out I will trim all the wires up and make it all pretty. Just a bit frustrated with it to be honest. I'm not overheating anymore though, so that is good. I'll come back to this setup later. I'm going to contact them once I have it all finished and see if they can make a few changes and write some real instructions. The paperwork that came with the system was not great, and disjointed.

I also got the wiring cleaned up and fixed for the oil pressure sender, and the alternator. I put on the new alternator rear cover and cooling hose, as well as new foam and screws for the drivers side splash guard. While I had the alternator out I did the fuel sender o-ring, and the larger o-ring up above it as well. Pretty good day of fixing.

Blue wire is for an LED which I'll get to later, and green is for A/C on. I have no A/C currently and I'll get it hooked up later.

Note the scratching from the aluminum shroud hitting the plastic. I'll have to trim, or figure out a different way to mount it.
