How to paint urethane panles?
So I am finishing up the body work on my 928 and I just realized that the front bumper, rear bumper, and headlight shrouds are made out of a urathane of some kind. Now, I was curious to know if any one has ever painted thier 928 before? If so, how do you sand, prime, and paint urethane pieces? The guy who had the car before me just took some krylon and painted over the entire car. it seems to have stuck really well to the urathane pieces but the rest of the car it did not stick very well. I was also wondering how you sand the aluminum pieces like the doors, hood, and front fenders. Is it just like sanding steel? I painted My 69 Nova myself and obviously thats all steel so I am more familiar with steel than anything. Just curious to see if any one on here has done this before. Any help or pointers or anything would be great! thanks.

I did a brief search on this recently. In general it sounds like most paint these days is fairly flexible. Flex additive was often added for handling and installing when paint is fresh. I was looking at Eastwood urethane single stage and could not even find info on flex additives. I would assume if you are patient you might be OK. I would ask you paint supplier.
