What's wrong with RL?

Last night I posted my 928 for sale on Rennlist. It was pulled down within 20 minutes. I reposted it and it was pulled down within 30 minutes the following time.

My 928 is an exceptional car that I think a lot of Rennlisters would have been interested in. It's a 1988 Porsche 928 S4, 5 speed, guards red with supple black leather with only 38,000 miles. I posted multiple pictures of both the car as well as multiple pictures of the detailed service history.

I noticed a lot of other Rennlisters had their cars posted for sale on the site so that wasn't the issue. I think the person who pulled the ad down so quickly and consistently did the community a real disservice here. 928's of this caliber are practically non-existent. I have no doubt that the rarity and uniqueness of this 928 would have garnered a lot of interest amongst Rennlisters.

Very disappointing.

I should have posted this in my original post that I did sell the car to a Rennlister during that second 30 minute run. It was apparently on there long enough to get it sold and I did take a deposit from him yesterday afternoon. It's just frustrating that someone, most likely a troll with a badge of some sort, pulled the ad down consecutively out of nothing more than a personal issue of some sort. I've always said, if you don't like someone's post, simply stay out of it and move on with your life. Unfortunately, some of those with no lives would disagree

If you are not a paying member of Rennlist you are not allowed to place for sale items. Just the rules. You were fortunate the ad lasted 30 minutes before being pulled. And even more fortunate to have attracted a buyer in that short of time. RTFM applies to the rules of each site too.

Agreed, I think I was very fortunate to have gotten it sold so quickly. But I was a paying Rennlist member :-/

Active paying member, I can see why you might be a bit perturbed by the ad being pulled. I guess the only other faux pas that could get an ad pulled IMO is if it was posted in other than the "classified" section. I see frequent examples of that rule not being followed, but I guess it might be an explanation for what happened, or not.....

You have to be a member and post an asking price in the ad or the ad will be removed. If you did that there is no reason for them to pull the ad. How much did it sell for? That might explain things.

If you go to the Rennlist forum, and pm hacker pschorr, ask him, and he will be able to tell you what happened / why.

So you were a paid member of rennlist and the add was pulled down? Just registering does not make a person a member, must be a paid subscriber (a whopping $17 per year). If you were a paid member, then there is no way the ad should have been pulled down.

That's very strange, sorry to hear that. The posts should not have been deleted. There is a beautiful 91 GT for sale post on there right now.

maybe they view you as a business since you sell so many 928's
We pay a ton more than $17 to be able to post things for sale

I have figured it out. I understand why your post was pulled down. No judgment intended here, but you are Todd, and you were banned from rennlist. Under their rules, you cannot come back under another name. But you already know that.
Why don't you try to make nice after all these years of absence, and just come back as who you are? Follow the rules and contribute. You do have much to offer, but hoodwinking us (at least me) isn't a desirable trait.

Hello Todd,

When I deleted those threads your registration must not have gone through yet and your title was still as a non-member so I removed the threads.

I sent you a PM when I deleted those posts. You could have responded to those asking me directly about it, instead you open a thread here.

This was all before I realized who you were which is why I suspect you didn't reach out to me. Instead going for the drama and the sympathy vote.

It's too late for that. Had he reached out to me before creating the "outsider" account we could have discussed options.

Nope....instead of trying to do things the right way, he weaseled himself back in and tired to pass it off as if nothing ever happened.

I'm sure Pelican has similar policies about double accounts.

Looks like some things never change with Todd.

Still the drama queen.
