Wanted - fuel level sender (in-tank type)
Looking for a good, used fuel-level sender (the type that sits inside the fuel tank). My car is a 1985 US model.
Thanks |

My sender was pretty clogged and rusted so it was completely unserviceable. The only part of mine that's left now is the fuel return nozzle. I can drive the car but my fuel gauge doesn't register
Before you give up on a suspected faulty sender, research the price and availability of a replacement. New ones are between $500-$600 and used ones are hard to come by, in my experience. |

PM Blackshark on RL. He may have one for something less than new.
Be patient for his reply. He's not online all the time.

I have one from an 82. It's not pretty after many years in the tank.
Looks like they go for 640 here on Pelican and around 500 for new on Ebay. I'd take $150 for mine. I don't know of any way to test it. I'll get a picture to you if your interested.

Thanks guys. I think I have found one and it's here in Canada where I live. I might get in touch if this one does not work out.
