Turn signals

For sometime now when I put on the left turn signal it won't return after making the turn and I have to manually push the lever back. The right one works fine upon completing a turn and the flasher stops. I suspect a broken part in the turn signal lever?

had the same problem - I pulled the steering wheel and inspected the plastic tab attached to the back of it - it was worn a bit - it contacts the little tab that pokes out of the directional switch assembly when the lever is moved into turning position - I wound up lubing the switch with spray lube - then I squared up that tab on back of steering wheel with a file - and finally tried loosening the switch mounting screws a tiny bit - between all that I got it to work correctly and has been for 3 months

Thank you for the help. It most likely needs some new parts which are probably hard to find these days. Guess I will live with the problem for now. Your fix might be worth a try.

PS. I just came back from Colorado and went through Denver up to Glenwood Springs.

give it a try - my fixes tend to be free - just the time investment - that drive through glenwood canyon is great - they did a nice job hanging the highway on the mountain up there - now as you get to the tunnels..well that's a different story - always seem to be jammed

A beautiful drive in any sports car from Denver to Glenwood Springs, up to Aspen, over Independence Pass. When I lived in Vail we had maybe 1,500 residence, now about 10,000. I-70 was two lane through Glenwood Canyon and Aspen. Nothing like the hot springs pool and a hike up to Hanging Lake. A beer in the Red Onion in Aspen and see how the 1% live. So much to see in Colorado.
