Replacement speakers revisited
I know this topic comes up occasionally, but as new products come out, hopefully our options improve.
I'm trying to find a replacement for the door speakers in my 79. These are the doors without speaker grills. The PO tore out the originals and had some little speaker dangling inside the door. So I don't even have an orinigal to look at. I'm thinking with decent rear speakers and a powered sub, I shouldn't need much up front. Has anyone found a speaker that will fit the original location without cutting a hole for the magnet? Thank you! |

Just do a search on "speakers" in this forum. Plenty of all sorts of info.

Was hoping someone had found a speaker that fits without any cutting.
Thanks |

I replaced my speakers when I got the car, did no cutting. I may have posted it but can't remember now. I replaced fronts and rear and installed a sub in the spare tire from a Nisson I believe. I put the amp under passenger seat. Look at all the posts on the subject here as I mentioned before.
