Looking for a clay bar recommendation to help bring back my oxidized paint

I was hoping to get pointed in the right direction as to which clay bar treatment is the most popular. The process looks plenty straightforward to me so I would like to give it a shot myself, rather than having a detailer. Anyone have a favorite product and method that they would care to share? Also would appreciate an idea as to where to buy the product. Thanks!

I'd say its hard to go wrong with Maguires or Griots. Here is a link to some threads.

Ive used mothers, (just used it yesterday infact)

That being said when i bought it meguires wasn't being sold in all your autozone stores. I would go to Autozone and buy the meguires kit for $17 it comes with instant detailer which is great stuff and some wax stuff (which i always just throw away anyway) The meguires kit comes with a plastic box which is nice as it solves the issue of what to do with the clay once you unpackage it for the first time. Since i have no spiffy black case, i wrap my clay in wax paper then put it in a plastic ziplock baggie.

GREAT STUFF! My mom's jeep has a ton of crap on the paint and it really needs the clay bar on it. This should be your first step to exterior detailing after a wash. Dont bother polishing or waxing without first removing all the surface contaminants, this is the clay's main purpose.

Cheers

Once you've preped your paint with the clay bar, I'd recommend that you pick up some 3M rubbing compound for the paint (available at Checker and most auto parts stores) as it will do wonders for your oxidized paint and this product isn't overly abrasive.

Are you telling me that another more pressing more current issue couldn't be found to comment on?
