remove emergency brake cable
need to remove the rear hub and not sure how to disconnect the emergency brake cable.
have done this on old 911s and you do unbolt from the hub side. searched, looked in PET, and WSM. in PET it looks like there is a bolt on the hub side of the cable where it connects to the little lever that works the brake shoes. but when I removed the emergency brake shoes and got access to that end it appears to be a rivet. dont see a way to unscrew. and when looking at the other end where is connects under the differential, not obvious you can disconnect there and be able to pull through from that side. my car is an 84S US. off to the shop to look closer. and will take a pic if I cant figure it out today. thanks in advance for any ideas.

checked with some other 928 friends. turns out they say it is a pin that will tap out. may not be easy...

From memory, wasn't too tricky, but you do need to remove the brake shoes to get at that pin. There is also a pin that can be pulled out to remove the one side of the cable to the hub, the other half of the cable goes from the hub to the handbrake..
