i believe that when you hook a charger to a battery that needs charging the charger will show some amps and as the battery becomes charged that needle will drop down to zero indicating the battery is drawing no amps and is fully charged

Quit fighting that darn battery. Life is too short not to be driving a 928 :)

yah your right.
i'm gonna ignore the fault and drive seeing as i can't figure it out and the battery has tested good and i can't find where the fault is |

Did you test the battery under load? (no pun intended) It could be that your battery under load (like when you activate the starter, etc) falls under the minimum allowed. I would hate for you to be driving and get stranded somewhere in the boonies when you turn your car off and attempt to restart. |

no i have not actually tried that. let the snow melt away and i will try and get back to you. time to make a snowman :D maybe i should connect my battery to it and see what it does under load |

sorry for very late reply. i just never get time to sort these things out. well the answer to the problem was yes 100% the battery. i had it tested and it passed with no faults however when i put a like for like new battery in the message went away...... why????? i do not know |
