New to forums, question about Phone Dial wheel sizes
First and foremost, I was recommended to this site by a friend of mine. Great site, great forums, a lot of good info.:D
Second, I'm looking to purchase a set of Phone Dials, prefereably in a 16" size. They aren't going on a Porsche (sorry guys) they're going on my 96 VW GTI. Mainly what I'm looking for is the range of sizes, widths, offsets, and weights of the wheels that were made in this style. If anyone knows this information, or has a link to a page with this info I'd really appreciate it. I'd like to find somewhere in a 7"- 8" wheel. If they're light enough, they may become my auto-x wheels as well. TIA! alex |
i'm no phone dial expert, but i've seen dials in 6-7-8" widths at 15 & 16" diam. early offset is 23mm, late offset ('87 up) is 55-59mm. hey, why get phone dials when you could have these 16" 7 & 8's with tires from my '95 968? let me know if you're interested.

I'm trying to find something a lil different, plus I'd rather not run a staggered setup on a FWD car. But if I don't find anything in a month, I'll be shooting you an email or 2.:D

Just curious, why do VW people put Porsche wheels on their cars? I met a kid last week that had $2000 996 "technology" hollow spoke 18" on his old jetta. Porsche centercaps weren't removed either. I don't get it, can someone explain.

I think they're a good looking wheel. They just happen to be on Porsches. If they were on Ferraris, I'd like them just the same. |
Alfa had some good looking phone dials too. Check those out.

I like those ones as well. However, I can't get a certain answer to the offset or bolt pattern on them from anyone. Also, the Porsche ones are easier to get a hold of.
