Need Help: Wiring 944 drivers seat

Good morning,

I have a 1986 Turbo, recently purchased. I removed the racing seats that came with it, and ordered 2 very nice reconditioned recaro seats. Drivers side is powered, with the wiring harness ready to go.

Problem is I can't find the wiring harness or wires under the carpet, and am concerned the previous owner ripped it out.

Looking for advice on where to find the wires that should connect to that seat, and if it is completely missing, advice on wiring power to the seat.

Thank you,
Adam

All series 2 944 cars had the wiring for the power seats installed.

If the wires/connector exists, it will be located under the carpet on either side.

If the wiring has been cut, running a couple of fused wires from the fuse block to the seat should be a simple exercise.

Thank you George

I found this grouping of wires under the center console behind the radio. Does this look promising? There is a conduit of wires on the left side that runs along the edge of the carpet/door area, but nothing branches off it except the wire to the e-brake.

You will need new wires. See my post above.

having just gone through that, the plug should be directly under the seat and probably the carpet. Rectangular 8 port plug. My drivers side had a long cable and the passenger was much shorter. Those wires in your photo don't look right to me.
