Interesting?? The 944online one looks like the older version of the only 944 one.

it looks like the 944online kit has two holes so it can be used as a stock shifter (only side/side movement) or a short shifter, while the only944 has one hole and can only work as a short shifter with 30% reduction in both front/back and side/side throw.

i'm curious if the 944online kit can preserve the factory throw.

i haven't used either, maybe contact both and ask for details?

also, it looks like that plastic link block is available as a complete shift linkage set, part number 94442401302 for $256. ouch.

I think its an old version of the only944 part. Here's a pic from the only944 site. In this pic it looks like they haven't installed the later version with only one slot.

Also the front to back distance doesn't change with an increased slotted arm length. That's controlled by the other arm on the shaft.

MY new trick for cleaning heavy stuff like that is, W40 a few times for a day or more then ZEP FAST 505 and a pressure washer. And of course a bunch of different brushes.

KD everything but the flywheel and throw out bearing fork is being replaced..
Still trying to find a machine shop locally that A, does resurface using a flywheel grinding machine. B, does not give me a blank look at the "can you balance the flywheel and PP as an assembly" question.
