944 Turbo Fuchs 1986

( Update )I am now looking for another NOS Rear 8 x 16" let me know if you know of one. I will pay market price for one. PM me works best.

This is No longer for sale -I have 1 NOS in Porsche Box Fuchs 8" x 16" $1,175.

These are No Longer for sale - I have 2 Front 7" x 16" $1250. with Factory caps. Like new condition not restored. These have been stored for over 30 years.

I always say pay up front for good ones rather then buying cheap ones and having to restore some day. Cost ends up better to pay up front.

Maybe you can go buy a 951 8" x 16 for say $500 and get it restored for $350. Plus shipping back and forth. And you still have a restored wheel that will never be as nice as NOS
If you can find me another one like mine I will buy it from you this way I have a pair in same condition. Let me know. I will pay you what I am asking. Thanks

the fuchs cloverleaf wheels are legendary and often considered to be the best wheels in the history of wheels due to the almost unbelievable combination of extreme light weight, strength, durability, and beauty standing the test of time. some history here:
https://magazine.heritagepartscentre.com/en/blog/2020/02/05/origins-of-the-porsche-fuchs-alloy-wheel/

and there's even a wiki article:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuchs_wheel

and a pelican forum post about weight:
Fuchs vs. aftermarket wheel weight

a set of 7" sold for $3000:
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/new-4-1983-fuchs-15-x-7-wheels/

and a set of 8" and 9" for $6400:
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1986-porsche-944-turbo-49/

there's a set of 7" and 8" for $3200 now:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-951-944-Turbo-7-8-x-16-Fuchs-Wheels-JG-/293686267638

in comparison i would say these are a really good value and if they fit my 89 car i would buy them myself but the offset won't work for later cars.

I have a pair of 7/8 already but my 7s are 911 wheels and I’m told they won’t fit over my 944 turbo front brakes. If the price is for both fronts then I am interested

@jmitro sorry did not see your comment here. I was over on the 911 section and did not check in.
You have a very cool set for a 911 and getting hard to find good ones so keep those.
They have a different offset from the ABS cars 1987 > fwd 944 cars 951 cars due to ABS brakes that is the key.
1986 944 951 no Abs brakes so the offet on the 951 front wheels is 23.
The later cars are something like 49 and 52 so a very High offset.
As far as my 1986 944 Turbo Front wheels I decided to keep them and the NOS wheel for now. btw It was set at for the pair.

Right now I just need to find one Like new Rear 8 x 16" 951 wheel and then I have a full set.
I plan to go the the BIG Porsche swap meet on May 1st in PA and hope to get lucky to find one that match the condition of these 3.

Please PM me if you know of any perfect 8 x 16 951 wheel. Must be dated 1985 or 1986 Thank you.
