What's this
This hose is hanging underneath my porsche 944 turbo. Can't seem to find where it would connect. Anyone know what it is and is it important?

That is a hose that attaches to the rear of the alternator (At least, that was how it came from the factory.) Many have been removed, primarily since there are wires in the hose that can deteriorate and blow right into the alternator, killing it. My cars have all had them removed.

So the last owner probably disconnected it but didn't remove it. So it's nothing to be worried about? Thank you. I noticed this..looks like theres a hose that cover that nipple, looks like the hose broke off. Do you know what this is? Looks like a vaccum maybe? Not sure. Will it keep the car from starting?
