VEMS pnp ECU

Does anyone have experience with the VEMS ecu setup? I'm bringing back an 87 944 turbo as my ultimate daily. I bought the pnp kit when I figured out my DME was fried. I have RPM signal, plenty of battery, fuel pressure ect, but it's not sending injector pulse or spark.

What I've done so far:
- fresh speed and Reference sensor (though it only seem to use the reference sensor)
- tried by passing the DME relay
- bypassed security box
- tried both the included wasted park setup and the distributor setup following the online instructions
- continuity check on all the relevant wiring
- cleaned the grounds
- stared at the tuning screen fishing through all the menus and eating twizzlers

I'm out of ideas and I can't help thinking I'm missing something super obvious. It seems like for both fuel and spark to be absent there must be some setting or input I'm missing that's preventing a run condition.

Any help would be appreciated

Have you run a trigger log while turning the motor over ? Look for trigger errors ...

Edit: I'm a little rusty on vems, but I have my kit all up and running on my 86! I don't use the flywheel sensors though. Upload your config and I'd be happy to look at it.
