Performance Differences

I can notice a big difference in performance, smoothness, etc when I drive my 86 951 in the morning to work everyday and home in the afternoon. It runs better in the mornings and runs like **** in the afternoon. Now i know that since it is hot as hell in the afternoon, the intake temperature will be hotter, but come on! The car sits all day long without even being driven for lunch and there is a very noticeable difference. Does any one else have this problem? Any suggestions?

Mine does not run poorly (uneven or miss) in hot weather. It just does not have as much power in hot weather as it does in cool or cold weather. There is a noticeable difference. The rule of thumb that I have read refers to a loss of 2% of your power for every 10 F rise in temperature with a turbo. It's half that for an NA.
