951 odometer

how do i remove the odometer needle so that i can replace my trip odometer gear??

I think you mean the speedometer needle? It takes a little bit of effort and patience. You have to sorta pull on it pretty hard and wedge it off by rocking it back and forth. The key is to be try to loosen (requires a good pull) it off of the little thing holding it while being gentle enough not to break the thing holding it. Make sure you put it back on with it exactly at 0 or else you could be going 5-10 mph over or under what speed you think you're going at.

Swim thanks, i had to change my odometer gear but managed to get arouond not taking off the needle, but i want to go to the white face plates and need to know how to remove them without breaking them
