Porsche Crest rough cold idle

my 86 951 has a rough cold idle, but it very quickly goes to a smoth idle when the car stars to move and warms up.

it has autority chips in it
any suggestions?

I have the same problem, and my car has guru chips, shimmed wastegate, 993 BOV and a 3" high flow cat and exhaust also...
any help with this...

Mine does it too and has done it for years and miles and miles. I have never been able to stop it from doing that. It lasts about 1 minute. I have no vacuum leaks but have a MAF, etc. I just live with it. Once the minute passes, it is fine.

Could be faulty or dirty idle valve under the intake manifold
Could be incorrect CO adjustment

There is a CO adjustment screw right by the MAF. I have never messed with it. Perhaps I should mark where it is then try some adjustment.

I agree. CO is no longer a routinely checked item. The CO does in fact need adjusting every now and then as the car ages as CO will become out of ranges with time. The factory in fact recommends a check with every change in engine mechanical or fuel injection component.

Ya, mine does this too. Looking at the air/fuel gauge though, I'm also running pretty lean during this cold idle situation, perhaps an adjustment is in order. I've stiffened the spring a little (in the stock AFM)since I run more boost, that may have a little to do w/it also.
