Fog Light Lens Install Question

Hello!

I just got a new fog light lens for an '87 951, and I was wondering if there are any tricks / correct ways to install it. Honestly I haven't even looked under the car yet as to what it's going to take. When I ordered it, I didn't fully realize that it was a giant sealed unit until it showed up this morning, and as there isn't much room behind the bumper cover, it looked kinda ugly!

Hopefully this isn't the case, any info would be great!

Thanks in advance!

Jeff

hi Jeff. there is one screw on either side of the lamps holding a cover plate on each side of the light. remove these plate and you'll see a screw at each corner of the light. these hold the light in place and removing them will enable you to pull the light out. the screw in the center of the outside of the lights is the adjustment screw and has nothing to do with the removal of the light. that should help you get the lights out.

btw, cool avatar. you got lucky :)

Thanks Ronin, sounds like as easy of a job as a n/a car!

The avatar is kinda funny, I honestly started out college years ago wanting to be a concert pianist. Now I just play for fun, weird though!

Thanks again-

Ronin-

I should have looked at the car before I posted this question on the board, all of five minutes and zero headaches! Sorry!

It looks great, other than I just ordered the other side as they have to match; right? ;-)

The washer bottle just gave it up as well, so another project for the weekend!

Thanks again!

cool! I'm glad it went well. still, it was good of you to check first so you knew what to expect. y'never know! as for the foglights, how much were the individual units. (I need some new ones)

His name was Ludwig. It's the only reason Lucy wouldn't put out for him. Well that, and she couldn't say "pianist" without sniggering.
