Thanks, I am looking for backspacing not offset The measurement from where the wheel fits to the hub to the outside of the wheel rim on the back side of the wheel.

If the offset is measured from the middle, would the backspace not be half the width of the wheel (8") plus offset (0.917") = 4.917"

easy way to find out.

take your wheel off, lay it on the ground put a streight edge or carpenters level across the wheel and a ruler from the hub mounting surface to the edge of the carpenters level/streight edge thingy this would be measurement A. then from the edge of the carpenters level/streight edge thingy to the edge of the rim, incase your tire sticks out from the edge of the rim this would be measurement B. then subtract B from A for your exact backspace... unless you don't have fuchs and are looking to buy a set then someone else that is offering you the fuchs should follow the above directions to help you sort that out.
