Cam Swap

Any tips on pulling / reinstalling the cam gear on an 8 valve?

Help!

What kind of advise are you looking for? Is it your first time like it was mine? If so, that large bolt looking thing you're trying to turn isn't a bolt, it's just a cover for the cheesehead bolt that holds the camshaft sprocket on. Yeah, it fooled me. Some say it will fall off if you take an impact wrench with the same sized socket and rap it a few times. Mine fell off when I got pissed and whacked it with a hammer. If you'll look in my rebuild pics link I think there's a pic of how I got the cheese head off. I took a chisle and a pair of vise grips and a dirt devil drive belt to hold the gear steady while I turned the cheesehead. Tip: When you put the cheesehead wrench on, whack it with a hammer to "wake up" the bolt. I hope these are the kind of tips you're looking for.
