Question Updating 86 951 rear to late offset

I was wondering if anyone knows what components have to be replaced to upgrade a 86 951 to a late model offset in the rear?

Thanks

I think it's just the hubs that push the offset out further. You'll need the later brake discs too. -And late offset wheels, of course!

You might want to just get spacers to use late offset wheels.

I was tring do do it without wheel spacers and I already have the wheels. I think that this would be a more permenant solution to the problem. Also spacers are very expensive and if I am going to invest money I would rather do it on a more stable setup. I am finding that all I would need is hubs, axle stubs and rotors. If anyone knows if any other parts are needed or if these three items should do it let me know. Also if anyone is interested in my phones let me know.

Thanks

Wheel-adaptors are expensive and heavy, not spacers. Porsche themselves used spacers on the '82-85 944NA. You can get a complete parts list of longer studs and spacers to do this conversion in the 944 Wheels FAQ section of my 951 RacerX website. All Porsche parts and you can do all four wheels with used-parts from dismantlers for about $150-175.

" I am finding that all I would need is hubs, axle stubs and rotors. If anyone knows if any other parts are needed or if these three items should do it let me know."

You'll also need the front A-arms, struts and brake-calipers. The '87+ cars had different front calipers than the '86. The struts also have a different angle and the slotted alignment adjustment is different.

Then on the rear, you'll need the hubs, axles and rotors as well.

isn't the only difference between the '86 and '87 front calipers just piston size, why replace them just for changing the offset?
