Hello, found this place on google ;x,
Any way im gonna be working over the Summer and i will have about £2000 pound spare and im looking for a weekend/summer car not a daily driver and im looking towards 944's atm. Will i be able to pick a decent one up for the amount of money i have ?:/ and how insane are the running costs ? it will be garaged for 3/4 months due to Snow

I've seen some expensive ones and I've seen some that needed very little maintenance. Just depends on the car. If you get one, make sure the cam belt has been changed recently by someone who knows what they are doing.

Mine costs little to operate. But I do the work. Mine has 146K on it and runs well. Biggest problem I've had is oil leaks but I seem to have them whipped for the moment.

I would not let the car sit for 3-4 months. You are courting trouble if you do that.

I've been pleasantly surprised by the running costs of my turbo over the last time I've had it (2 years) and 8000km, but this is hardly enough time to draw meaningful conclusions.
