Question Help Me Ahhhhhhhhh

my coolant resevior is pressurzed as soon as i turn the key. if i start the car for about 2 seconds. and then turn it off and open the cap it piss until coolant bubbles out. . no coolant leaks. i'm thinking its a head gasket. if so i'm mechanicly incline i just do not have a whole lot of major tools such as a lift or airpower tools. how in depth is changing the headgasket on a turbo. its a 1987 turbo. also what should i change while i'm there

0sounds like a headgasket, do a compression test without the plugs and see what you come up with. CHeck the plugs for signs of coolant. Headgaskets are not too hard. 90% is done from the top with normal hand tools. definately have the head checked and inspect the block for expecially for the cylinder in question. might as well do the belts and seals while you are in there. If you are running higher boost concider a wide fire gasket.

Yup head gasket....

PUll the plugs and look in each hole with a flashlight........ it should be pretty obvious.

Not the end of the world but your fun is over for a little while.

How many times can the head studs be touqued. I have been told once and then they should be replaced with with a Raceware type of stud.

I would love to be there for the meeting on the 19th. but unfortionatly i will Be in Italy. But please let me know of any future gatherings, i am only about 30 min from there. Wife has drained my walet there may-o-times.

the hp is estimated at this point, was hoping to get it dynoed again this spring with the local porsche charity event but missed the chance. now i have to rent a place with my buddies to gey checked.

mods:
ported and polished intake and runners
large volumn fuel pump.
incresed diameter to fuel nosels and lines and adjusted fuel management for k-jetronic
remove air pump and a/c
martin schneider headers 3" exaust , no cat with 2 chamber dynomax. ( sounds sweet.)
k&n filter. w/3" custom intake tubes, no restrictions. takes away from some of the lower end, but definitly adds to the higher end.

I have a freind that is a brain on tuning, he works here with me but is off today. i forget where the pump is from. we drilled out the old injector
nosel oracices to a larger diameter. The lines were bent front larger diameter brake line pipeing. tolk a hell of a long time. I was trying to find braided fuel line and flare fittings origonally.

If you are replacing your head gasket, consider one of the new all metal tri-laminated gaskets. The wide fire ring gasket is really no better than the stock gasket; the actual metal facing the compression in the piston is still only 1/32nd of an inch thick. Under high heat and pressure this burns through pretty quick.
Take a lesson from this blown gasket. You may be running too lean. The new tougher tri-lam all metal gaskets will just relocate the stress to the next weakest point... the pistons.
Check with Guru or someone that can custom program a chip, or guage up with a Fuel/Air and Exhaust temp package.
