bar gauge

as some of you might know, i was having trouble with boost and vacuum leaks. i thought i fixed them but when i turn the key on and even when the car is at idle, the bar gauge is reading below 1. i saw another turbo car today and when the key was on it was straight up at 1. should mine be at 1? does it mean i still have a leak or is my gauge messed up?
thanks

Your gauge should not read at 1 at idle. Mine sits all the way left. I also have a mechanical boost gauge that reads psi in my car....it sits at 16psi vacuum at idle (0psi = 1 bar in our stock gauge)

yea, after i posted i thought that it shouldnt read at 1 cause it is under vacuum, so it is just the gauge reading wrong when the key is on but not running?

the gauge should read 1 bar with the key on, engine not running. 1 bar (appr. 15 psi) equals atmospheric pressure. once the engine is running, the gauge should be on the left (as it is now running under a vacuum) and increase as throttle is applied and the turbo develops more boost

appears to be a faulty gauge. when there is one bar of atmospheric pressure, (normal outside air pressure) the gauge should display such
