Newbie here

Hello all,

I have been reading the posts from this forum for a while. I am very impressed and pleased with the questions and answers on this forum.

My compliments.

Now, here is the question I have.
I have been looking at 86 951.
I am thinking of trading my 95 convertible Corvette for it.
The dealer is willing to give me trade plus $4,000.
My Vette -> 95 with 38,500 miles and flawless. It has HotCam and exhaust system done.
951 -> 65k miles and stock from what I can see. Timing belt and clutch and water pump is less than 2 years old. (I am guessing less than 15k miles).

What do you guys think? If I were to get the 951, I would probably install Vitesse Stage 3.

Thanks.

I have no idea what the value is on your Vette.....so I don't know if that's a great deal or not.

If the 951 is mint it is well worth $12K in my opinion. The car is VERY different than a Vette.....but man....with a few mods you won't be able to wipe the smile off of your face!!!

Good Luck

I say go for it!

make sure they have the paperwork to prove the timing belt, clutch, and water pump are really less than 2years old.

Thank you for your replies. I will check that out when I go to test drive it.

I am planning to go early part of next week so any input until then would be tremendously appreciated.
