header help

Hi,
I just bought a 86 951 with 66K on it. It seems to have an exhaust leak on the header. My dealer is looking at it tomorrow. Should I just get an aftermarket header or try to have it welded. I noticed that the stock header has some sort of heat shield wrapped around it and that the aftermarket ones do not. Is this a problem? What is the best and most cost effective one to buy?
Thanks, Josh

Does your header have a bellows joint?

I think it's a bellows type. The dealer looked at it the other day. My mechanic says that the crack is under the heat shield and might as well be replaced. What brand should I go with?

b&b has pretty good reviews;

Those things in the above line are quite expensive. I purchased a used set several years ago for less than 300 bucks. Guess they don't make too many of them.
