Vac lines

I am doing everything I can think of to bring my engine back to it's former glory. I want to replace the vac lines with a Lindsey kit. I was thinking blue since I have red ignition wires. Would this look to "ricey"? All opinions wanted!
Thanks, Josh

Keep in mind you need to replace the 1/2" lines under the manifold as those are the ones that are cracked and brittle. Depending on the year of the car, you may want to update the system and get rid of the venturi tube. Dave @ lindsey can set you up with all that. I am not sure if pelican is selling a kit or not, if not, they should.

... and to add to all that .......... don't use lindsey vacuum lines as the boolst line replacement. The walls on those are to thin.

This sorta relates to the vac line question and I didn't feel like posting a new topic. How the heck do you fix a non-working boost gauge? Do the actual gauges go bad or is it a problem with a vac line not connected? How do I troubleshoot this? I've found no information on the Web about this problem.

If it's the factory boost gauge, it should read 1 bar when you turn the ignition key to on. Don't start, don't engage starter, just turn it on. The gauge should display atmospheric press which is approximately 1 bar.

If it doesn't read 1 bar then it's not a vacuum line that's bad. It's probably electrical or the gauge itself.

Actually it doesn't read anything. It's totally dead. The rest of my gauges work fine and once I replace the odometer gear, the boost gauge will be the only thing not working in my cluster.

Just an FYI, yes, my turbo works fine

don't bother with the stock boost gauge. buy this instead;

and install it in this;
