ok so i have a 91 vw corrado, that was originally supercharged and the charger promptlly blew. So i decided to put a turbo on it. it ran great for about a month when i then realized that 2 of my injectors were not really working. Couple that with 15 lbs of boost and that equalls KABLEWY. So that leads me to where i am now. I went out and bought a VW 9A 16 valve motor from a passat and have completely rebuilt it. I had a custom exhaust manifold built for my T3/T4 60 trim turbo and put in the euro spec cams, had a head spacer made from cometic, 42lbs per hour injectors, billet fuel rail and adjustable FPR. I have a scirocco manifold on there now, and i was going to make a custom short runner but i then decided to get a little crazy. Which is were i am now, the 944 turbo manifolds are already a short length so i figured what the heck. a freind of mine told me that they bolt directlly to my head, and looking at pictrues and trying to find the specs, it looks as tho it will work with minor modifications to the throttle body flange. So im pretty pumped. I really havent seen it done so im gonna experiment. Everything fits with a welder (hahahhaha). So thats my project as of now. ok so im sorry this isnt a porsche, but it is german, and i have had a few porsche's, so i hope you can forgive me.

update for everyone who is interested
so.....
ive got the mani and as it turns out the 944 turbo intake mani does not work without major modifications, so i decided to go with a scirocco mainfold. which will do until i can get a true short runner inlet.
but we have the IC mounted and the turbo is clocked right now, and we are going to run 7lbs. for the time being because i really need to get this thing on the road. i am hoping to have it done by nextweek end, i will post pics up later in the week.
thanks for the interst.

ok. so......
the motor is in and the I.C. is all set up and she runs.....
but, she smokes like a banshee. so now by process of elimination i have determined that the rear turbo seal is leaking. im a little bummed, she does run but man does it smoke, you cant even see through the cloud. i will hopefully have some pics up soon.

Could be the 924 turbo mani is a better fit, (its a develpment of a vw engine unlike the 944 one)
