exhaust manifold

86 44 turbo.
recently purchased car. Believe i have an exhaust leak somewhere on the manifold.
can one repair these or do they have to be replaced.
Believe the leak is near the point where the tubes mate with the portion that mounts to the head.
also if they can't be fixed any suggestions.
thanks

IIR, they have a tendency to crack, due to heat. i wouldn't repair it, as it will crack again. replace it with a good one from a later year turbo.

Try Partsheaven for a used one. Last time I checked, they cost about 300 bucks for a used one.

Ebay may be quite a bit cheaper, but its harder to guarantee that the manifold you're buying doesn't already have cracks. Then again, unless someone's actually pressure tested it, you're never going to have a full guarantee.

Partsheaven has a 30 day return policy for defective parts. I have bought several used parts from them over the years.

if you know which part is cracked (the headers are two pieces), dC Automotive sells them seperately. or, buy a performance header.

Thanks for the assistance. I have been to DC Auto and am confident I can get one from them. Pretty interesting place.
Any recommendations to a performance header. I do not need chromed etc and so forth. The "apparent" issue is I believe on the #1. I am seeing blow/soot on the bolts. It is not bad "yet" but I can see it coming.
thanks
