Factory car alarm
Hi, I'm trying to find the alarm in my car, an 87 944, I have read that this is located in the footwell, passenger side, where exactly is this?, under the carpet or under the dash?, I know this sounds dumb, but I didn't know where to look at..., my car starts 10 times and then dies, I'm going to try to jump the alarm.

Under the carpet. The carpet on the passenger side firewall is held down with Velcro and should come up easily. Remove the wooden piece and you'll see the DME box. The alarm box is black plastic and about the size of a pack of cigarettes.
