I am looking at buying an 86 944T from a guy I work with here in Illinois. In January, I'll be making the trek from here to Arizona, my permanent residence, potentially with the 944T.
He has all the maintanance records, new clutch, timing belt, and everything seems to function correctly. I drove the car, and fell in love with it immediately (I drive a pathetic v6 Ford Mustang). I am taking it to a Porsche dealer to get it inspected before the purchase, but I am wondering if it can even handle the 100+ degree heat in Arizona as a daily driver. Should I buy the car and drive it down there? Any suggestions/comments will be appreciated!!! Thanks!! |

There is a guy on Rennlist from the UAE who daily drives his 951. He says it can take 120+ with no problem.

That's what I thought, but I've never owned a 944 or a turbo car for that matter (let alone 20 years old), so I wanted some advice from owners. Thanks!
