LBE with stock fuel regulator?

I have a Lindsey boost enhancer, and the stock fuel regulator.

I read in another thread that if you use the LBE without upping the fuel (something) then you will loose boost for long periods of time.

I'm running at half boost right now, for no good reason.

Could this be the problem?

Thanks!
-Alex

Read the recent post on cycling valve theory, you might be running in safe mode because of some other problem. I don't think the LBE has any way to LOWER boost. The danger is that without raising fuel pressure you could get a lean condition. Lots of people use them without problems, I would imagine the real danger is when you start doing other mods and not compensating with more fuel.

If your overboost protection has kicked in then you are probably running stock chips. If you try to up your boost on stock chips regardless of your fuel pressure regulator you are at risk of blowing your head gasket. You make more power by turning up boost, but the computer has to know how to handle the extra boost so you must have chips mapped for running higher boost.

Russell
