oil smoke
yesterday, i drove my from the street to the driveway. no smoke. it was parked in my driveway for about 7 hours. my driveway has a pretty good incline, the nose of the car was down. when i started it up late in the afternoon, a good amount of oil smoke (definitely oil) came out of the exhaust. this cleared up after just a few seconds.
has anyone else experienced this? also, its brand new oil in there, maybe a week old, if that matters.

Did it smoke on start up and idle or after you were headed down the street. Also were you under boost ?

I suspect that depending on the incline you might have got oil into the intercooler (more than normal ). The oil normally stays in the turbo outlet. Its very small amount..but it might have got in to the intake. As you did not get the smoke while driving I suspect its not a problem. Just a WAG

well, the incline was steep enough that the float switch in the brake reservoir engaged. i had to pull over and tap it. the brake fluid was about a centimeter over the fill line.

Yah that was it. I have done it when I have driven and parked on some of the hills in San Fransisco.. Never a problem in Dallas
