would someone do me a favor
by measuring the distance from the ground to the top of the wheel wells, both front and rear? i am trying to figure out if my ride has been lowered. i've been asked a couple of times, and frankly it looks lower than the ones i see pictured here.

Nynor will measure to the top of the wheel well next time I have the wheels off. I think you asked to measure to the top of the wheel well. Any way here is the measurement to the top of the fender curve. See pic, front and back measure the same.

Keep in mind that measuring that way doesn't take into consideration wheel and tire size differences. A more accurate way to measure is from the center of the wheel to the fender lip, as it eliminates size variations between different wheels and tires.

i measured my car and got the same as sox. i can see what #39 is saying, however.
