Porsche Crest gauges stopped working???

I bought my 1986 951 and 2 days later all the gauges stopped working including the sunroof motor. When i checked the fuses they were fine but had no power. However when i add power to that fuse everything works. Where should i start, any suggestions???

As far as a quick glance tells me the fuses for the instrument and the roof lifting motor are separate..So when you say the gauges stopped working you mean the all the gauges like fuel and coolant temp etc. or the lights in the instruments? Also if you apply power to which fuse and which side of the fuse?

I think its fuse 36 its the one for the intruments not the lights. When i add power to the top of any side i get all of the gauges to work and the sunroof starts working also. Its the same fuse that gives power to both so somewhere the that section of the fuse box isn't geting power. Yes all the guages show nothing at all fuel, water temp, rpm, mph, oil press, etc....

Under the fuse box is a jigsaw puzzle of copper pieces. You may have to take the fusses out and take the plate off and see if the copper underneath is intact.
