The KLR receives 12 volt power on the black and yellow wire to pin 6 on the KLR. The origin of that wire is a "welding point" (a connection inside the harness), which also powers the red/black 12 volt supply to the injectors. If it were me, I would tap into one of those injector wires rather than search for the "welding point."

Bill - George has been doing this for a long time. Anyone who owns or has owned a 944/951 have greatly benefited from his experience, knowledge, and plain-speaking explanations.
