Are the M030 inserts replaceable?

I know there's a kit for the non M030 struts but are the M030 strut inserts replaceable with no modifications.

My 951S is making a lot of creaking noise on the LF and the steering seems kind of sloppy. Yesterday I lifted the front and it creaked going up and going down. I noticed the wheel bearings a little loose so I toOK the wheels off, adjusted them, check for play in the lower ball joint(none) and did a visual inspection. Everything seemed OK. It was getting dark so I put everything back together and this morning the creaking is still there and the steering still feels sloppy. I'm thinking either the top shock bearing or the strut insert is dried up. The car has had 30K miles put on in 13yrs, now I'm using it as a daily driver.

you are in luck, they are rebuildable/replaceable;

you could even install ride height adjustment collars while you're at it, just like the turbo-s;

The ones you are talking about are the older M030s (pre 951S) I have a Turbo S. they already have the factory ride adj.
I actually have both sets (pre and post 951S) and they both have different caps holding the inserts down. I'm trying to figure out is the 951S caps are removable and if they use the same inserts.

ahh, i didn't notice you were talking about a 951s. :) hmm, i haven't had the opportunity to examine the s-struts up close yet. do you have yours out of the car? can you take photos?

you might want to update your sig, too. :)
