Sorry the center pin in the connector should be connected to the + on the battery and use the - to touch either side on the connector to change idle.

Yes the tps should be connected as normal.

I pulled the speed sensor for kicks and found that the end was buggered up, so I changed it. Also found that the wiring at the electrical connector to the ISV is dry rotted and cracked. I ohmed out the 3 wires in the connector to the DME connection and 14 pin connector at the firewall and they checked good.

I ended up installing a new DME with a Maxtronic emulator as well and the car fires up as normal now without any hunting or surging with the throttle at idle and TPS switch set up as normal. My problem now is that the engine will arbitrarily die after running stable at idle for 5-10 minutes.

I'm going to splice a new connector on to the ISV wiring and install orings for the throttle body shaft cause I know it's leaking. I'm hoping that this will cure my problem.

Aside from that, the new knock sensor I installed yesterday also took care of the detonation I was hearing at anything above 13 psi. With a few tweeks to my Maxtune/ Maxtronic combo, this 2.8L car is really moving at 16 psi now. Since I don't know what my A/F curve looks like this is the max boost I'm comfortable with. Once I install a PLX wideband with datalogging capability, I'll be turning up the boost and heading to the dyno!

Thanks for all your help guys.
