951 Pics

Just felt like posting some pics of my 951. Actually, I needed them resized and this forum does it automatically. Thank you Pelican Parts!

Thanks. It's a Lindsey Racing 4", but I slash cut the tip. Magnaflow muffler & Flowmaster Outlaw pre-muffler. Sounds obnoxious, just how I like it!

Yes, 15mm front & 27mm rear with longer studs.

The wheels are Fikse FM10's and I think they were custom built for some weird application. All Fikse could tell me is that they were built in 1997. They're pretty wide, too - 8.5" front & 10" rear.

I bought them from a dealer who had them on a 964 but they didn't seem quite right on it. I had them on a 968 and they fit about the same as on the 964. Now with these spacers on the early-offset car they look like they were made for it.

I'm using the tires that came on the wheels for now - 205/50-17 & 255/40-17, but I plan to change them out for some 225/45's & 275/40's, which I think will be just right.

Black seems to be a theme here. The black one is my DD and the Sapphire Metallic is the project I'm getting closer to finishing.

Sweet looking car nylor!
I have always wanted to do some autocrossing....they have it at the Qualcomm (Chargers home) stadium in SD all the time, 20 min from my house!
The engine photo makes me glad I got to install the head on the engine stand not in the car....looks like fun.

the head install isn't so bad in the car. the exhaust manifolds are the worst part of it.

notice the helmet sticking out of the sunroof? with my helmet on, i don't fit! i need to get a corbeau seat for next year.

Agreed. While my engine is out I'm swapping for SS studs with an allen insert head. That way the studs can be removed separately if you ever need to remove the head or exhaust. Saturn studs (pic) do the same thing but have a Torx head and are a bit longer. These on on my BMW but it's the same for the 944.

Since everybody is showing pics, I thought I'd throw one of my 87' 951 in...I'm pretty new to the sight, but not the cars...Mines been in storage for the last 2 years and will be gone through completely this upcoming spring....upgrades include 18" cup wheels, full 3" SS exhaust w/ borla xr-1 muffler, autothority chips and mbc....

If you are using a PC with XP MS power-toys has a great resizing feachure that you can DL for free. But don't let this stop you from posting more great photos.

Here is a link to the re-sizer it is great as you can select a group of photos and it will do them all to a preset reduction. You can either overwrite the originals or it will generate renamed copies automatically.

here is the link Scroll down and it is the fith from the bottom on the right side of the page.

Dude, that is righteous! Thanks for the tip. I installed it and used it to resize a pic of my old mount (and another, in the background)
