Air Flow Sensor set up..Help needed..!!

my 81 931 had some mechanical issues.. All fixed now.. thanks to some of you ingenious guys.. out there..; but during the repairs.. I messed with a flow sensor plate/hex screw inside.. and I think it's out of adjustment.... I had some infos on this from other sites and I guess I supposed to calibrate the plate with a little space all around the plate..?? how do I adjust that..?? I did make a screw to stop the flapper,USING THE PLUG HOLE, but I can't get it right.. and secondly..; the hex screw inside of the flapper gets adjusted with a hex wrench.. one side goes richer burn.. and the other side gets more air.. ;dryer burn.. onw the problem is..; when I have it just right,of course with my ears and the way feels to drive it.. the engine does not want to start.. cranks.. but no ignition..so have to mess with the screw that I have made on the cap hole to get it to fire.. well.. spent enough time with this set up.. that is making me crazy.. it's 924 turbo.. and not too many around.. so info is very hard to get... anyone out there who know/ experienced with this set up please advice me to go the right way.. thanks... KEEP ON PORCHEING..!!

Probably not.. 81 s have k-jetronic sys tem.. it's not a electronic driven.. but manually controlled air flow system with a float flap that senses the air flow... older style.. there is hex screw that controls the spring, and by adjusting that it balances the mix.. my set up has been little messed up and I'm working on it to balance the whole thing again..it's my first time setting this up, and need help doing it... hopefully with someone with some knowledge with this set up... thanks..
