Messed up again...

I have been driving wondering why my car(the turbo) was running sluggishly and hesitating.. wanting to die at idle.. etc..

Recently replaced the Fuel relay, Everything is tight as far as banjo bolts and plugs... Was scratching my head ...

looked under the hood again... and found that i left the oil filler reservoir cap off after topping it off a few days ago.

So.. what should i be worried about now?
Could i have damaged anything.. been driving the car for at LEAST 2 days like this...

Im assuming i should replace the oil...

Are these dependent on vacuum like the beemers.. i take the oil cap off the beemer and it pretty much dies...

that should have no effect on how the car idles. i'd worry if any contamination (water, dirt, etc.) got in there, though.

Weird.. a guy on the N/A side told me that it is dependent on the vacuum of the whole system.

I put a new litre of oil in because it was low.. and put the cap back on and the car idles fine now.. and drives ok.. shudders tho. a little bit.

i've heard that claim as well, but found evidence that shows otherwise;

1) the stock crank vent hose that comes out of the oil filler neck is connected to the j-boot, where it's basically open-air.

2) if the idle was affected by crank vacuum, then installing a crank breather would adversely affect the idle, and it does not.
